Progressive and Seclusive (Residential Public Space) by Arthur Ho
2017 - 2018, Golden A' Interior Space and Exhibition Design Award Winner
Inspiring within a linear space a flowing ambiance as articulated by the contrasting elements between excess and void, light and shadow.
This is a three dimensional public space consisting of the lobby, backyard, and the cellar. The two-storied high backyard is an open space with natural lights, shadows, and green vegetation, and the open space connects the lobby and the cellar. The whole architecture features a progressive line of movements, open and close pathways, bright and dim spaces, interlaced with real and virtual realm that leads to the way home.
