Renaissance (Armchair) by Zaria Ishkildina
2017 - 2018, Golden A' Furniture, Decorative Items and Homeware Design Award Winner
The shaping basis of the concept was taken by a Curule Seat Image (lat. Sella Curulis) with X-shaped legs. Curule chairs chair in Ancient Rome could belong only to the highest magistrates (lat. magistratus curulis). There is a legend that the first curule chairs chair made from gold was given to Gaius Julius Caesar.
The design of the chair allows it to be used in both public and private interiors. The stylish, minimal and modern shape of armchair "renaissance" is comparable to Curule Chair.
