We tried to improve the visual identity and spice up dashboard interfaces with some entertainment when proceeding the visual design of our product. We used simple lines rather than large colour blocks to demonstrate professionals in the fast-paced workplace with the intention of capturing their efficient and decisive characteristics, which consequently, formed a unique illustration style.
Normally, login interfaces of ToB products are plain and similar. Therefore, we adopted the design thinking and design methods which were traditionally applied to ToC products in our product design. According to our research, we found that most login interfaces of dashboards failed to establish emotional connections with users. Aiming at bridging the the gap between users and our product, fulfilling their emotional requirements, we considered an illustration which describes a realistic user scenario as an ideal solution.
Design Challenges
The hardest part is the illustrator style positioning.We hope to have a clear difference from the illustration style on the market.We also hope that this style can be accepted by the public, so the yardstick of style is difficult to seize.
